Jobot Consulting in San Francisco seeks a Hybrid Senior Accountant to lead endowment and fund accounting, financial reporting, and audit prep for a mission-driven nonprofit. The role focuses on investments, donor-restricted funds, and Reg 990 filings in a collaborative finance team.

You will partner with leadership to support budgets, forecasts, and internal controls, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance in a cloud ERP environment. This role offers hybrid work in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years nonprofit/foundation or fund accounting experience.
• Experience with investment accounting and endowments.
• Familiarity with Form 990 and nonprofit reporting.
• GAAP knowledge and internal controls.

Responsabilités

• Lead endowment accounting activities including GL reconciliations and journal entries.
• Manage fund accounting and unitization reporting with accurate allocations.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts with finance leadership.
• Own month-end and year-end close for investments and restricted funds.
• Prepare rollforwards for pledges and donor-restricted net assets.
• Assist with grant reporting and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate year-end audit work and audit deliverables.
• Maintain debt and cash activity schedules with reconciliations.
• Develop internal controls and process improvements, exploring automation.
• Generate reports and perform variance analysis in a cloud ERP environment.
