Job summary

Hi-Altitude Brands is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting for our remote Finance team. You will blend transactional accounting with technical accounting, collaborate with Operations and executive leadership, and grow toward an Assistant Controller role.

Reporting to the Controller, you will own end-to-end close processes, GAAP compliance, and ERP data migration efforts as we scale our direct-to-consumer health brand,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Strong GAAP and technical accounting fundamentals including revenue recognition and inventory costing.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software or an ERP and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to own both transactional work (AP/AR, invoicing) and higher-level reconciliation, reporting, and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own balance sheet reconciliations end to end on a documented close checklist.
• Tie out accruals, prepaids, and deferred revenue and prepare related journal entries.
• Shorten the month-end close cycle and document every step.
• Run AP/AR processing, invoicing, and day-to-day transactional accounting.
• Prepare the monthly management reporting package and build KPI/variance reporting.
