Job summary

Donorbox is seeking a Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting operations and help scale a modern finance function. You’ll manage cash, controls, and payroll compliance while ensuring accuracy across multi-state and international obligations. The role combines hands-on work with leadership as you supervise a Contracted Jr.

Accountant and push automation across processes. You’ll report to the Fractional Controller and drive a refresh of our chart of accounts, implement tighter spend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle month-end close.
• Experience with multi-state/international tax compliance and equity administration.

Responsibilities

• Own weekly cash flow, AR/AP aging and treasury processes.
• Ensure compliance across federal, state, sales tax, and international obligations.
• Lead month-end close, consolidated financials, and forecasting.
• Partner with department leaders on budgets, variances, and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee and review work of junior accountant and any outsourced providers.
