Job summary

Elevate Living is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Wayzata accounting team. This role offers hands-on work across a broad range of functions including month-end close, reconciliations, fixed assets, HUD audit support, and process improvements using AI tools.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and with teams in a growing multifamily real estate company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years accounting experience encouraged.
• HUD audit and Yardi experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and analytical ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end financial statement review and research variances.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate items.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and research reconciling items.
• Research and resolve payment exceptions (NSF, stale-dated checks).
• Review security deposit disposition accounting and move-out accounting.
• Coordinate with insurance vendors for casualty loss tracking.
