CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Denver-based real estate accounting team. You will lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and work directly with business owners to resolve questions and drive accurate reporting.

The role involves ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis across multiple entities, with exposure to audits and cross-functional collaboration. A proactive, detail-oriented communicator will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close and financial reporting for an assigned group of real estate entities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
• Process payroll and complete related reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Analyze financial results and investigate unusual balances, trends, and variances.
• Work directly with business owners and accounting personnel to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and management reporting.
• Coordinate year-end accounting information with outside CPAs, tax professionals, and auditors.
• Review work performed by other accounting team members when appropriate.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while communicating proactively and taking ownership of deliverables.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, solve problems, and make the accounting function more efficient.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger, month-end close, reconciliation, and financial statement experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Strong Excel and accounting systems skills.
• Real estate or multi-entity accounting experience preferred.
• A proactive, driven approach and genuine desire to learn and grow.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, and work directly with business owners.

Salary: $95K-105K
