Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant, Operations Accounting to join our Houston, TX office. The role requires deep knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 606) for cost and revenue accounting, with SOX experience.

You will prepare project journal entries, analyze costs and revenue, and support audits in a cross-functional environment. The candidate will contribute to improving accounting processes, manage reconciliations, and collaborate with Project Accounting and Project Controls to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; advanced degree and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
• Minimum five years of full-time accounting experience; strong Excel with high accuracy.
• US GAAP and SOX knowledge; able to work in a SOX environment.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and EPM is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly project-related journal entries under US GAAP (ASC 606) and NuScale COA.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly analysis of project-related cost and revenue accounting.
• Prepare reconciliations for GL accounts and subsystems; ensure accuracy.
• Gather, organize, and process project documentation across the company and with clients.
• Execute key SOX controls related to Projects, Revenue, and Financial Close Management.
• Support audits and drive process improvements in accounting and reporting.
