Job summary

STN Incorporated is seeking a Senior Project Accountant hybrid in Pleasanton, CA. You will own contract, revenue, and project accounting across services, MSP, and GPU One lines, ensuring proper recognition, billing, and controls as the business scales.

You will manage WIP, deferred revenue, and backlog, coordinate with Finance leadership, and support audits and external reporting. A strong ASC 606 background and ERP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience in services/tech.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 and multi-element arrangements.
• Hands-on experience with percentage-of-completion, WIP, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts for accounting and billing implications, including ASC 606 considerations.
• Own deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and contract backlog schedules; reconcile obligations to revenue.
• Maintain project records in the ERP and track costs by engagement and phase.
• Oversee month-end close activities and prepare reporting for audits and lenders.
