Job summary

Johnson Service Group (JSG) seeks a Senior Accountant, Operations Accounting in Houston to manage project accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations under US GAAP (ASC 606) in a SOX environment. You will collaborate with Project Accounting and Project Controls, ensuring accurate coding and timely analyses.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, Excel mastery, and familiarity with Oracle ERP/EPM. On-site duties at 990 Town & Country Blvd. are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA/CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of full-time accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly project-related journal entries under US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Perform monthly and ad hoc analysis of project-related cost and revenue accounting.
• Prepare reconciliations for GL accounts and subsystems monthly and quarterly.
• Support SOX controls related to Projects, Revenue, and Financial Close Management.
• Assist audits and continuously improve accounting processes.
