Job summary

The Carlyle Group seeks a Senior Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting for our private equity aviation investments. You will work with leadership, investment teams, and service providers to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.

In-office requirement: 4 days per week. The role demands strong technical accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience within private equity, asset management, investment management, family office, aviation, or financial services preferred.
• Familiarity with aviation leasing, aircraft ownership structures, or SPVs.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain general ledger and integrity of accounting records.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting docs.
• Oversee accounts payable, cash management, and treasury functions.
• Coordinate with outsourced providers and external auditors.
