Job summary

Welltower Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant, Partnership Accounting to own accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of operator partnerships, including foreign operators, under US GAAP and SOX. The role emphasizes monthly close, intercompany eliminations, and accurate financial reporting across complex structures.

You will mentor staff, drive process improvements, and support acquisitions and negotiations with the transactions team, ensuring strong internal controls and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of public or corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with partnership, consolidation, or real estate accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred; knowledge of GAAP and IFRS helpful.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary accounting contact for an assigned portfolio of operators, including foreign operators.
• Prepare journal entries and oversee monthly close and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly consolidation and intercompany elimination procedures.
• Review operator financial submissions and analyze variances and trends.
• Ensure SOX controls and documentation for audits; mentor staff accountants.
