Welltower Inc. in Toledo, OH is seeking a Staff Accountant, Partnership Accounting to manage accounting and financial reporting for operator partnerships. You will handle monthly intercompany consolidations, journal entries, reconciliations, and billbacks in accordance with US GAAP and SOX.

The role requires 1–3 years of accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with CPA preferred. You’ll work with cross-functional teams, ensure data accuracy, and develop deep technical

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of public or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; GAAP and IFRS knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day accounting contact for assigned operators.
• Prepare journal entries to support monthly close.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and maintain supporting working papers.
• Review operator financial submissions and analyze variances.
• Perform intercompany consolidation and elimination.
• Apply accounting treatment across RIDEA and non-RIDEA structures.
• Support SOX controls and internal audits, documentation.
• Assist with acquisitions/dispositions affecting operator-accounted properties.
• Document processes and propose improvements.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses as required.
