Job summary

Embark is seeking a Senior Accountant to strengthen our outsourced accounting team in the United States. You will manage corporate accounting duties, uphold US GAAP, and drive accurate monthly closes while leveraging advanced Excel skills.

What you’ll be doing:

We are looking for individuals to play an integral role in growing our outsourced accounting practice. We provide back‑office, fractional accounting services to a variety of clients across the country. Simply put, our objective is to provide superior client service by executing at a level that meets Embark’s lofty standards.

To be a good fit for our Senior Accountant role you will have:

• 4+ years of experience in corporate accounting and/or Big 4/public accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• A high sense of urgency, strong initiative and the ability to multitask
• Operational accounting & monthly close experience

Added bonus if you have:

• Process and procedures documentation experience
• Financial statement preparation experience
• SEC filing exposure/experience
• Experience in multiple general ledger systems (i.e., Quickbooks, Netsuite, Sage Intacct)
• Experience with close management programs (i.e., Floqast)
• Experience with AI tools (i.e., Claude, Gemini)
