Job summary

SNZweig seeks a Senior Accountant, OAS to lead client accounting and financial reporting for a diverse client base. You will manage month-end close, review financial statements, ensure GAAP compliance, and mentor junior staff while building trusted client relationships.

You will onboard new clients, identify process improvements, and contribute to growth. SNZweig supports fully remote work across the U.S., with flexible engagement options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
• 3–5 years accounting experience at staff level or above.
• Full accounting cycle knowledge from entry to financial statements.
• Knowledge and application of GAAP accounting standards.
• Experience managing general ledger activities and month-end close.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera or other Deltek ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities for assigned clients including AP/AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, and loan accounting.
• Prepare and oversee monthly financial statements using firm and client resources.
• Review balance sheets and P&L statements for errors and opportunities for improvement.
• Research, analyze, and resolve financial discrepancies with documented findings and solutions.
• Apply GAAP to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
• Onboard new OAS clients and establish effective accounting processes and relationships.
• Identify root causes of accounting issues and develop practical solutions.
