Job summary

SNZweig is seeking a Senior Accountant - OAS for its Outsourced Accounting Services group. You’ll build relationships with outsourcing clients, manage monthly close, and own your book of business while working remotely.

The role offers fully remote work across the U.S., with growth opportunities and exposure to Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint. Candidates should have 3+ years in full-cycle accounting, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, and the ability to handle confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of full-cycle accounting at or above staff level.
• Experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction firms.
• Proficiency with Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint.
• Ability to handle confidential information and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking; client service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide recurring daily/weekly transactional assistance to clients (A/P, A/R, credit card import, consultant invoices).
• Manage the full accounting cycle from data entry to financial statements.
• Perform month-end close including reconciliations for A/P, A/R, bank and credit cards.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Assist clients with project lifecycle, including billing and reporting.
• Research data to reconcile discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with clients and SNZweig CAS to improve processes and profitability.

As a Senior Accountant - OAS in our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) group, you will be a valued member of our team and will build relationships with your outsourcing clients. This position will offer you an excellent opportunity for career advancement in our growing firm and having ownership over your own book of business and clients.

What you’ll do at SNZweig:

• Provide recurring daily/weekly transactional assists to clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card import, and consultant invoice management.

• Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle from data entry to compilation of financial statements

• Provide month-end closing service to clients, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, loan accounting

• Preparation of monthly financial statements

• Assist Clients in the complete project cycle; to include project entry, billing and project related reporting.

• Ability to reconcile financial discrepancies by researching and analyzing accounting data.

• A problem solver for both the client and SNZweig CAS. Identify the root cause of an issue and propose a solution to resolve it.

• Participate in the on-boarding process of new CAS clients.

• Always look for ways to help our clients and the firm improve processes and profitability and communicate suggestions to appropriate parties.

• Embrace the SNZweig way of becoming our client’s most trusted advisor, creating client delight, and meeting service standards.

• Maintain a professional demeanor with all client interactions.

• Provide guidance to teammates, be approachable to any questions/inquiries, and ultimately help the team be successful

• Collaboration with internal team and client to complete tasks

• Ability to manage client projects with minimal oversite

What you may have done before :

• Been a full cycle accountant at an Architecture or Engineering firm utilizing Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint as your ERP
• Worked in a fully remote environment

What it takes to be a Senior Accountant - OAS:

• Proficiency in Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint Billing

Salary : The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $85,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
