Job summary

SNZweig is seeking a Senior Accountant - OAS to join our Outsourced Accounting Services team. This remote role offers ownership over client books and strong growth opportunities in a fast-growing firm.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full cycle accounting experience, preferably in Architecture/Engineering, and proficiency with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint. Responsibilities include month-end closes, client reporting, and onboarding new CAS clients.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in full cycle accounting at or above a staff accountant level
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Experience at an Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and practice areas within the organization

Responsibilities

• Provide daily/weekly transactional support: A/P, A/R, credit card imports, and consultant invoicing.
• Handle end-to-end accounting cycle from data entry to financial statement preparation.
• Perform month-end close including reconciliations and fixed assets tracking.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for clients.
• Assist clients in project cycles: entry, billing, and related reporting.
• Research discrepancies and resolve accounting data issues.
• Assist onboarding of new CAS clients.
• Suggest process improvements to improve profitability.

As a Senior Accountant - OAS in our Outsourced Accounting Services (OAS) group, you will be a valued member of our team and will build relationships with your outsourcing clients. What You’ll Do At SNZweig

• Provide recurring daily/weekly transactional assists to clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card import, and consultant invoice management.
• Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle from data entry to compilation of financial statements
• Provide month-end closing service to clients, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliation, fixed asset tracking, loan accounting
• Preparation of monthly financial statements
• Assist Clients in the complete project cycle; to include project entry, billing and project related reporting.
• Ability to reconcile financial discrepancies by researching and analyzing accounting data.
• A problem solver for both the client and SNZweig CAS. Identify the root cause of an issue and propose a solution to resolve it.
• Participate in the on-boarding process of new CAS clients.
• Always look for ways to help our clients and the firm improve processes and profitability and communicate suggestions to appropriate parties.
• Embrace the SNZweig way of becoming our client’s most trusted advisor, creating client delight, and meeting service standards.
• Maintain a professional demeanor with all client interactions.
• Provide guidance to teammates, be approachable to any questions/inquiries, and ultimately help the team be successful

What You May Have Done Before

• Been a full cycle accountant at an Architecture or Engineering firm utilizing Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint as your ERP
• Worked in a fully remote environment

What it takes to be a Senior Accountant - OAS:

• Proficiency in Deltek Vision and/or Vantagepoint Billing

Salary

The salary range for this position is an estimate of $75,000 - $85,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
