Cloud5 Communications is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team. The role emphasizes linking daily financial activities to broader operations, with strong NetSuite and Expensify proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-3+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech, IT services, SaaS, or hospitality-adjacent sectors.
• Strong familiarity with operational business processes and how front-line operations impact the general ledger and financial statements.
• NetSuite ERP experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data manipulation).
• Experience with expense management systems (Concur, Ramp, Expensify, or similar).
• Ability to work independently with ownership and tight deadlines.
• Strong communication across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and draft accurate general ledger entries, recurring journal entries, and accruals per GAAP.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of GL accounts (bank statements, prepaid expenses, intercompany balances).
• Analyze operational data to prepare journal entries and support financial reporting.
• Partner with operational departments to ensure accounting reflects business activities.
• Assist with month-end close and annual audits preparation.
• Oversee expense processing workflows for policy compliance and timely resolution.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements and automation where applicable.
