Job summary

FOCUS Learning is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant/Controller to own day-to-day accounting operations. This role suits a Senior Accountant ready to grow into a Controller, or an experienced Controller who stays hands-on with close, reconciliations, and external reporting.

You will manage NetSuite, GAAP-based reporting, ASC 606 revenue for SaaS, AR/AP, payroll, tax support, and audit readiness across entities, partnering with Finance leadership to drive process improvements in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience in public and/or mid-sized companies.
• NetSuite experience is required for day-to-day operations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and close processes, SaaS or subscription revenue a plus.
• Willing to work across the full finance function with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills and analytical mindset.
• Clear, professional communication with executives, auditors, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle: G/L, AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations, and close.
• Close monthly/quarterly/year-end in NetSuite with entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare GAAP financial statements and supporting schedules for leadership and lenders.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition to SaaS and multi-year contracts.
• Maintain the close calendar and drive process improvements to shorten close time.
• Serve as in-house NetSuite expert for accounting, billing, AR, and reporting.
