Job summary

Intuit Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the Money Movement team.

You will assist a senior member with loss reserves, manage monthly GL close, and perform bank and cash reconciliations for Payments and Fintech offerings, while contributing to new payment rails. This role requires reading SQL, using AI tools to accelerate reconciliations and analyses, and delivering clear data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
• 5+ years accounting experience including GL close and bank/cash reconciliations
• Proficient reading SQL and using AI tools for analysis and documentation
• Knowledge of GAAP, accrual concepts, and revenue/payments accounting
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist a senior accountant with monthly loss reserves process and trend identification
• Perform monthly GL close activities and bank/cash reconciliations across Money Movement
• Support cross-functional projects building new payment rails and offerings
• Read and interpret SQL queries to pull/validate data and troubleshoot
• Use AI tools to accelerate reconciliations and documentation
• Maintain documentation for journal entries and reserves for audits
• Identify opportunities for process automation and simplification
• Provide cross-training coverage during peak periods
• Adhere to close-calendar SLAs and maintain internal controls
