Evapco is seeking a Senior Accountant for our corporate HQ in Taneytown, Maryland, overseeing Midwest manufacturing accounting and financial reporting. The role includes staff oversight for a small AR team and collaboration with internal departments to ensure accurate statements.

The position involves hands-on accounting, audit support, and process improvements at our Greenup, Illinois facility. Strong Excel skills and tax familiarity are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Master’s degree or CPA are preferred but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Familiarity with complex sales tax topics.

Responsibilities

• Manage the three-person Accounts Receivable team responsible for invoicing across all U.S. locations.
• Manage staff of 2 accountants.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly financial statements.
• Prepare financial statements for the Midwest location.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Support annual financial statement audits with external auditors.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with Sales and Use Tax audits.
• Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
• Implement and oversee ongoing workflow process improvements.
• Documentation of Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain professional education and oversee staff development and continuing education.
