Job summary

Entergy is seeking an Accountant Lead/Senior Lead to head miscellaneous accounts receivable activities and drive process improvements. You will lead key accounting processes, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and communicate financial results to stakeholders.

Responsibilities include month-end close, system testing coordination with IT, and delivering efficient reporting. Requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and knowledge of accounting controls and SOX requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields (Accountant Lead).
• 8+ years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related field (Accountant, Sr. Lead).
• Proficient in accounting controls and processes; strong analytical skills; Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge; experience with internal/external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Performs journal entries, reconciliations, and related accounting tasks.
• Owns business processes and related controls.
• Provides customer service to internal/external customers.
• Leads projects or teams.
• Maintains monthly accounts receivable and related close activities.
• Collaborates with IT on system interfaces and testing.
• Supports month-end close and data requests; assists with reporting.
• Identifies opportunities to streamline processes and reporting for revenues.
