The role advises senior management on contracts and related legal matters to align with business objectives. The candidate will draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, provide risk guidance, and support improvements to contracting processes while working with cross-functional

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal experience (law firm or in-house)
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements (customer, vendor, supply, services, confidentiality, construction-related)
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Bar membership in Maryland or another US jurisdiction
• Ability to balance protecting company assets with business objectives
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to perform wide range of tasks
• Exceptional writing skills
• Strong analytic abilities
• Ability to mediate conflict
• Highly developed negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and revising customer, vendor, supply, distribution, confidentiality, licensing, services, and other commercial agreements
• Negotiating terms for contracts, including EPC agreements
• Negotiating commercial transactions including acquisitions, joint-ventures, and strategic supply agreements
• Advising business teams on contract risk, terms, liability exposure, dispute avoidance, and practical solutions
• Supporting improvements to contract templates, playbooks, approval processes, and contracting workflows
• Pursuing legal claims and dispute resolution
• Negotiating and pricing change orders
