Job summary

Nikon SLM Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant in Long Beach, CA, to support full-cycle accounting, financial close, reporting, and inventory accounting within a manufacturing setting. The role collaborates with global finance teams and aligns with Pacific Time hours, with some meetings across Germany and the U.S.

East Coast. The ideal candidate has IFRS expertise, 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, and strong spreadsheet and ERP skills, including SAP S/4HANA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Experience in international organizations and global finance teams.
• Ability to work primarily Pacific Time with some meetings across regions.
• ERP systems proficiency; SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS-based financial reports.
• Support financial reporting and consolidation with global headquarters.
• Manage cash flow reporting and banking activities.
• Perform inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Support accounts payable, expense reporting, and payroll-related accounting.
• Coordinate with tax and external auditors; assist with audits.
