Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and GAAP principles.
• Experience with ERP systems, SAP S/4HANA preferred.
• Ability to work Pacific Time with some international meetings.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle accounting: journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, month-end close.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual IFRS-based financial reports.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of our U.S. business. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting activities, financial close, reporting, and inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment, while providing additional support for other accounting functions as needed.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, experience working in an international organization, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with global finance teams. This position will work primarily on Pacific Time, with occasional flexibility to accommodate meetings with colleagues in Germany and on the U.S. East Coast.

CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform full-cycle accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with IFRS and company reporting requirements.
• Support financial reporting and consolidation activities with global headquarters.
• Support cash management, banking activities, and cash flow reporting.
• Perform inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Support accounts payable, expense reporting, and payroll-related accounting activities as needed.
• Coordinate with external providers on applicable tax and compliance requirements.
• Support annual audits and provide requested documentation to external auditors.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Support ERP system maintenance and process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Sales, to support business objectives.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Experience performing full-cycle accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience working within an international organization and collaborating with global finance teams.
• Ability to work primarily Pacific Time hours, with occasional flexibility for meetings with international and East Coast teams.
• Strong understanding of financial close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience supporting audits and tax compliance activities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA experience preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This position is based in Long Beach, California, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring approximately 2-3 days per week on-site.
