You will work closely with plant leadership to drive profitability and provide timely, accurate financial insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or an inventory-intensive environment.
• Strong general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close experience.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Inventory Accounting: Oversee inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations, valuation, adjustments, and physical inventory counts.
• Cost Accounting: Monitor manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, overhead, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze production costs, inventory variances, and manufacturing expenses to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting packages.
• Operational Partnership: Collaborate with plant management, production, and operations teams to monitor costs, improve profitability, and support business decisions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgets, financial forecasts, and analysis of actual results against budget.
• Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation calculations, and capital expenditure tracking.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance ERP system utilization.
• Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with the Controller/CFO and other departments on special projects, financial analysis, and day-to-day accounting needs.
