Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is partnering with a pharmaceutical manufacturing company to identify an Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant to take the next step, combining technical accounting with operational collaboration and process improvement.

This is a hybrid role with two days onsite per week, offering broad exposure across the business and interaction with leadership to drive financial visibility and improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on manufacturing cost accounting experience including inventory, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Strong month-end close experience and technical accounting foundation.
• Experience supervising or mentoring accounting professionals.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory and cost accounting, including standard costing, cost rolls, inventory analysis, and manufacturing variances.
• Lead key components of the month-end close, including fixed assets, accruals, accounts payable, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to improve costing accuracy, inventory controls, and financial reporting.
• Manage and mentor a small accounting team, providing oversight and reviewing work.
• Support quarterly reviews, annual audits, and public company internal control requirements.
• Participate in ERP implementation initiatives, process automation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance financial visibility.
