Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to join their client's team in Nevada. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy of inventory-related financial processes and supporting strategic decision-making across departments.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in cost accounting, strong Excel skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Experience with inventory cost analysis and Dynamics NAV is a plus, with a capacity to improve controls and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience.
• Experience with inventory accounting.
• Experience with Dynamics NAV is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Review and process inventory-related invoices, ensuring accurate overhead costs and alignment with supporting records.
• Prepare and analyze monthly cost and variance reports to verify overhead cost accuracy for management review and make correcting adjustments as necessary.
• Support month-end close through preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis of inventory costs and applicable overhead expense accounts.
• Partner closely with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to analyze data, resolve variances, and ensure inventory cost accuracy.
• Perform detailed reconciliations across multiple reports using advanced Excel functions and analytical techniques.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve cost accounting processes, reporting, and controls.
