AAA Mountain West Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage and direct maintenance of accounting systems and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP. The role requires deep expertise in Workday ERP, complex modeling, and independent judgment.

Responsibilities include GL maintenance, month-end close, fixed asset accounting, and audit support, with collaboration across teams to hit tactical financial targets. Hybrid work with in-office days in Walnut Creek, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 8+ years experience, or 6+ with a Master’s.
• Active CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accounting systems and financial reporting; directs application of existing principles.
• Directs GL maintenance and ensures data accuracy in close processes.
• Oversees Workday ERP transaction flows and resolves complex system exceptions.
• Leads month-end close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Manages fixed asset policies, depreciation, and disposals in GAAP alignment.
• Supports internal and external audits with appropriate documentation and responses.
• Collaborates with external contacts and partners to deliver financial targets.
