Workday in Pleasanton, CA is seeking an Accountant to manage general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting for our SaaS platform. You will support month-end closes, audits, and budgeting while partnering with finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure GAAP accuracy.

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, 3–5 years of accounting experience, and proficiency with Workday Financial Management, Excel advanced functions, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a SaaS/tech environment.
• Proficiency in Workday Financial Management, Excel advanced functions, and ERP systems.
• Familiarity with SOX, ASC 606, and US GAAP; experience with audit coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily general ledger maintenance and journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
• Support month-end and year-end closes and assist in audit preparations.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and operations to resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to budgeting/forecasting and generate ERP-based reports.
• Mentor junior staff on accounting best practices.
