Ascribe is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team in a hybrid Chicago setting. The role covers month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting support. You will identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and work independently with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years of accounting experience, a solid grasp of US GAAP, and strong Excel skills. CPA preferred; NetSuite experience is a plus.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and core accounting concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• Proven ability to work in a hybrid/remote environment.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications, with supporting documentation.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and timely resolution of items.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes with accurate results.
• Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances; communicate findings clearly.
• Identify discrepancies and drive resolutions beyond reporting.
• Assist with internal management reporting packages and schedules.
• Support external audits and tax request documentation.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and controls.
• Collaborate with AR, AP, and operations to answer questions.
• Assist with special projects and system improvements.
