Job summary

Kiwa America, partnering with NQA US, seeks a Senior Accountant to join the accounting team and support multiple businesses. The role focuses on daily accounting, close processes, and financial reporting in a hybrid Houston setting.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GL knowledge, and excellent Excel skills. You will work with APC, AR, AP, FP&A, and Treasury to drive improvements and ensure strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Perform account, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Owns month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and financial reporting.
• Analyze account variances and prepare supporting schedules.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Document accounting processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and stronger internal controls.
• Support annual internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Finance initiatives.
• Provide flexible accounting support based on evolving business needs.
