Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking an accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in Atlanta, GA. The role provides accounting support and oversees cash management and corporate processes, with a focus on fiduciary accounting and process improvement.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and thrive in a dynamic environment, contributing to value creation and professional growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of financial accounting principles, general ledger, month‑end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team and stakeholders.
• Ability to build relationships, bridge gaps, and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
• Experience driving process improvements and ability to adopt AI-enhanced processes.
• Willingness to learn multiple accounting systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the month‑end close process for Corporate Accounting and ensure GL accuracy.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Contribute to Internal Financial Controls (IFC) framework and control environment.
• Identify opportunities for improvements, challenge the status quo, and propose solutions.
• Provide ad hoc information support to Treasury, Tax, Audit, and Business Segments teams.
• Apply Koch Core Values and Principles to advance our culture.
