Job summary

Continental Finance Company is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the Accounting team and maintain GAAP-compliant general ledger records. The role focuses on accounts payable, reconciliations, and period-end close processes in a growing fintech environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 3+ years of cash reconciliation experience, and 1+ year in credit card/financial services. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum 1 year of credit card or financial services experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience reconciling cash accounts required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting principles; GAAP experience a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Accounting Managers & Controller with day-to-day, monthly, and year-end accounting operations.
• Process and record accounts payable transactions; ensure accurate payments per policies.
• Handle allocations, monthly accruals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and journal entries.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations including cash, benefits costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
• Verify data accuracy from vendors and internal reports.
• Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
• Streamline accounting procedures through process analysis and improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
