Job summary

Continental Finance Company seeks a VP, Accounting and Controller to lead the accounting team and oversee the company’s general accounting function. The role includes month-end close, GL maintenance, and financial statement preparation in a fast-growing fintech environment.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity. Hybrid work schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Minimum of 7 years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations; month-end closing and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and disclosures.
• Conduct U.S. GAAP analysis and document accounting policies.
• Supervise accounting staff and assist in performance management.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to audit requests.
• Manage investor reporting and debt covenant reporting.
