Job summary

PRP & Associates, a Mentor, Ohio based accounting firm, seeks a Senior Accountant who will own the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of 2–5 clients and act as a trusted advisor to business owners and leadership.

This long-term role offers a clear growth path into a Fractional Controller, with opportunities to lead monthly closes, improve processes, and deliver actionable financial insights in a collaborative, client-focused team.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Senior Accountant responsibilities.
Strong full-cycle accounting experience (month-end close, reconciliations, adjusting entries, financial statements).
Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to explain financial information.
Experience managing multiple clients or engagements.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
Degree not required if experience is equivalent.

Responsibilities

Own the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of approximately 2–5 clients.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, adjusting entries, and schedules.
Analyze financial results and explain them to business owners and leadership.
Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted accounting resource.
Collaborate with tax and accounting teams to ensure timely deliverables.
Develop advisory capabilities toward a Fractional Controller role.
