Job summary

The Finish Line is seeking a Sr. Accountant, Group Reporting & Inventory to support monthly group reporting, inventory accounting, and close activities across designated business units.

You will partner with Inventory Control and Accounting teams to ensure accurate submissions, drive process improvements, and deliver timely financial reporting using Workday and advanced Excel. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 4–6 years of accounting experience; CPA is preferred but not

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 4-6 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
• CPA Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and submits monthly group reporting packages for PAX and FCC.
• Serves as primary JD Group reporting contact for PAX and FCC submissions.
• Maintains reporting mappings and ensures accurate reflect of changes.
• Supports month-end close and quarterly/year-end reporting requirements.
• Performs monthly inventory reconciliations and investigates variances.
• Records inventory-related journal entries during month-end close.
• Partners with Inventory Control to ensure accurate inventory activity.
• Ensures accounting activities comply with policies.
• Collaborates with leaders to resolve issues and support reporting needs.
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes and controls.
• Develops and maintains financial and operational reports using Workday and Excel.
• Participates in cross-functional projects and data analysis.
• Investigates and resolves urgent accounting and reporting needs.
• Supports standardized processes and controls to improve efficiency.
• Escalates potential risks to management.
