Job summary

JD Finish Line is seeking a Senior Accountant to contribute to accurate financial reporting through journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis. You will partner with the Accounting Director/Manager to support monthly and year-end close, improve processes, and assist with audits.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and CPA preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems is expected, along with strong analytical thinking and

3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Performs journal entries, reconciliations, and supports financial statement preparation.
Maintains close processes to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines.
Assists Accounting Director/Manager in reviewing Staff Accountant work.
Provides training and guidance to Staff Accountants on processes and reporting.
Identifies improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Collaborates with departments to support budgeting and monthly variance analysis.
Reviews transactions and resolves account discrepancies.
Analyzes trends in revenues, costs, and obligations for accuracy.
Supports internal and external audits with schedules and documentation.
Fulfills ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
