Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Senior Accountant for Government Contracting (Remote) to support a large external client with project accounting through GL close, financial statement production, and in-depth financial analysis.

You will serve as the accounting owner for multiple entities and collaborate with nationwide Project Managers, a Financial Analyst, and an offshore accounting team. The role is remote within the US, with CST or EST hours and monthly travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years' experience in full cycle GL accounting and project accounting.
• Experience with government contracting entity accounting is required.
• Experience with multi-entity and complex company structures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Curious, fast learner, and self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for assigned entities and coordinate with nationwide Project Managers, a Financial Analyst and offshore team.

Role: Senior Accountant - Government Contracting (Remote)

Pay: $105,000 - $110,000 / year + bonus

Location: Remote

Our client is a national firm that provides back office accounting, finance, and HR services to government contractor businesses and this Senior Accountant role will support a large external client with project accounting through GL close, financial statement production, financial review and analysis.

This role will support a client with multiple entities and 100+ active projects. The Senior Accountant will serve as the accounting owner for assigned entities and work closely with nationwide Project Managers, a Financial Analyst, and an offshore accounting team. This is a remote role which can be based anywhere in the US, working either CST or EST business hours. This role must also be prepared to travel once per month to various client locations as needed.

Requirements

• 5-10 years' experience doing full cycle GL accounting, project accounting, close and analysis through financial statement production is required.


• Must have prior government contracting entity accounting experience, ideally in construction, IT or manufacturing. Government contracting entity experience is required.


• Must have experience working for companies with with numerous multi-entities and company complexity.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.


• Must have curiosity, learn quickly and be self driven.
