The successful candidate will manage month-end close, reconciliations, and government contract accounting tasks, while collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial and operational matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA required.
• Experience working in government contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, and general ledger accounting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with the broader team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist with government contract accounting and compliance requirements.
• Ensure accuracy of financial records and adherence to accounting policies.
• Support audits, financial statement preparation, and reporting requirements.
• Analyze accounting data and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational matters.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
