Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Senior Accountant in its GPO shared services environment to execute core transactional, reporting and analytical activities. You will partner with business units and corporate finance to drive efficiency and data-driven decision making.

The role requires 3–5 years in finance operations or shared services, strong PBS process knowledge, and ERP experience. Candidates should be detail-oriented, collaborative, and capable of delivering governance-ready insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance operations, shared services or public accounting.
• Strong PBS process knowledge and month-end close cycles.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, S/4HANA).

Responsibilities

• Perform and support core PBS processes while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
• Review and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and risks.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives including process standardization and automation.
• Support system implementations, ERP upgrades, process redesign, and migration of activities into PBS.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and internal policies.
• Serve as a key contact for business partners and resolve inquiries.
• Collaborate with IT, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to support integrated processes.
• Prepare, analyze, and present performance metrics and dashboards.
• Participate in governance forums and provide operational insights to leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
