Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Senior Accountant GPO to deliver standardized finance services within a shared services environment. You will support core transactional, reporting, and analytical activities while partnering with business units and corporate finance.

The role emphasizes process improvements, system implementations, and data-driven decision support. Strong attention to controls and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in finance operations, shared services, or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of PBS processes and month-end close cycles.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, S/4HANA).
• Analytical thinking, process orientation, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support core PBS processes while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and KPI alignment.
• Review and analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives including automation and finance transformation.
• Support system implementations, ERP upgrades, process redesign, and SOP maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies, approvals, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Serve as a point of contact for business partners, respond to inquiries, and build relationships.
• Collaborate with IT, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to improve service delivery.
• Prepare, analyze, and present performance metrics, dashboards, and variance analysis.
