Job summary

Uson seeks a Senior Accountant to support monthly close, bank reconciliations, and financial statements at its Houston, TX site. The role involves GL reconciliation, journal entries, AP entries, and inventory system input (SIMMS).

You will collaborate with multiple sites, prepare analyses, assist with audits, and help with budgeting and year-end GAAP reporting, while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting required.
• CPA/CA/CMA is a plus.
• 5+ years’ experience in private industry or public accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly internal financial reports for upper management review.
• Perform monthly GL reconciliations with schedules and journal entries.
• Enter source documents into the inventory control system.
• Responsible for monthly analysis and reporting.
• Liaise with various sites and head office departments as queries arise.
• Assist with variance analysis on monthly/quarterly/annually basis.
• Assist with year-end GAAP financial statements and audits.
• Prepare statutory filings and tax filings.
• Maintain the fixed asset accounting system and assist budgeting.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain the chart of accounts.
