Job summary

Uson, a global provider of leak testing equipment, seeks a Senior Accountant in Houston to manage monthly close, GL reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will handle AP invoices, inventory entries in SIMMS, and support audits and statutory filings.

The role requires a Bachelor in Accounting, 5+ years in private industry, and US GAAP knowledge; CPA is a plus. This on-site role offers a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• CPA/CA/CMA certification a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in private industry, preferably in the industrial business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly internal financial reports for upper management review.
• Monthly GL reconciliations with supporting schedules and related journal entries.
• Enter source documents into the inventory control system.
• Responsible for monthly analysis and reporting.
• Liaise with sites and head office to resolve queries.
• Assist with monthly/quarterly/annual variance analysis.
• Assist with year-end GAAP financial statements and audits.
• Support statutory filings and sales tax filings; maintain tax tables.
• Maintain fixed asset accounting and support the budget process.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain the chart of accounts.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
