Job summary

Worldwide Power Products is seeking a Senior Accountant in Houston to lead month-end close, reconcile accounts, and provide financial analysis. The role collaborates with management to ensure accurate, timely financial information and supports efficiency initiatives across the accounting function.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and payroll accounting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification preferred or active CPA candidacy.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close activities for assigned business areas.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP-compliant transactions and accurate financial statements.
• Perform monthly variance analysis and provide insights for profitability and operations.
• Support payroll processing, reconciliations, and incentive accounting.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and automation.
