Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Close & Reporting team at our headquarters in Ventura, CA. You will focus on the close cycle, corporate expenses, and reporting, reporting to the Accounting Manager in a proactive, detail-oriented role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, public company experience a plus.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, and nested formulas.
• Strong time management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple tasks for varying stakeholders and to work under pressure and in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and critical thinking.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with an ERP System (Oracle Cloud experience a plus)

Responsibilities

• Participate in the month-end close with a focus on corporate expenses, expense allocations and delivering financial and management reports.
• Prepare account reconciliations and analyze account fluxes.
• Manage and facilitate global quarterly flux analysis process
• Assist in vendor contract review process
• Work cross-functionally with the Finance Systems team to build new reports and the financial reports catalogue
• Provide support for the annual financial statement audit, quarterly reviews and SOX processes
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
• Assist management with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as needed
