Job summary

Moonshot is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to perform full-cycle accounting in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. This role owns General Ledger accounting, month-end close, and reliable financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.

You will partner with Operations, Purchasing, Project Management, Sales and Leadership to ensure accurate financial data, strong internal controls, and timely close processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing and distribution accounting experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end close.
• Experience with vendor and customer deposits, prepaid expenses, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP systems (ECI M1 preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting including GL, month-end close, AP, AR, customer billing, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries; research reconciling items and maintain audit support.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Manage accounts receivable: billing, invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Process vendor invoices with three-way matching and issue payments.
• Record and reconcile vendor deposits, prepaids, and pass-through accounting.
• Support inventory, manufacturing accounting, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure accurate reporting.
