Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Duluth, GA. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, and improvement initiatives, requiring independent work with minimal supervision.

This is a fully onsite position, Monday through Friday, with collaboration across the finance and accounting team to support audits, budgets, forecasts, and revenue recognition tasks.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of SAP experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Experience supporting and owning month-end close activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform detailed account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to management.
