Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the finance department by ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining accounting records.

You will lead month-end close, GL reconciliations, and financial reporting while guiding accounting projects and staff. The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of progressive accounting experience, 2 years SAP experience, and strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5-6 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Minimum 2 years of SAP experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Support internal and external audit processes with schedules and documentation.
• Develop key financial metrics and report them to management.
• Assist with annual budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls.
