BenchPrep, a cloud-based learning platform, is hiring a Staff/Senior Accountant to support accounting, reporting, budgeting, and audits. You will focus on maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance while contributing to continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years (Staff Accountant) or 5–8 years (Sr Accountant) in accounting or auditing; public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and revenue recognition experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting functions including reconciliations, journal entries, AR, AP, and billing.
• Analyze expenditures and allocate expenses by department; report findings to departments.
• Review transactions for GAAP compliance and company policies.
• Analyze billing to ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals in the general ledger.
• Assist in financial statements, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Prepare year-end schedules for tax returns; support budget design.
