Job summary

Intrepid Acquisition Holdings, LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll accounting, and tax compliance in a defense contracting environment. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of accounting experience, including 3+ in defense, strong Excel and Costpoint skills, GAAP knowledge, and CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus.

You will document processes, support audits, automate workflows, and work with HR and external tax

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5–7 years progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in defense contracting.
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support internal controls documentation and process improvements.
• Assist with audits (DCAA) and government compliance.
• Prepare tax filings and liaise with tax advisors.
• Reconcile payroll related accounts and gross-to-net payroll.
• Collaborate with HR and Payroll to resolve discrepancies.
