Job summary

The Oxygen Service Company in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Senior Accountant to ensure timely US GAAP-compliant financial reporting and accurate ledger maintenance. You will lead month-end close, prepare journal entries, and support audits while driving process improvements across finance and operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and a track record of cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in general financial accounting and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Experience with general ledger, consolidation, audits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely P&L and Balance Sheet reporting per US GAAP.
• Perform month-end close and reconcile general ledger.
• Prepare and record journal entries.
• Support annual audit with external auditors and documentation.
• Maintain accounting process documentation.
• Ensure data accuracy for decision-making.
• Lead or support cross-functional projects (systems upgrades).
• Act as technical accounting resource for complex transactions.
• Collaborate with operations and Finance to improve efficiency.
• Promote continuous improvement in accounting processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
